Snacks and Birthdays

happy birthday2.jpg

•Many birthdays do not fall on school days. Please contact me about when you would like to bring in something to share.

•Students whose birthdays are in the summer months can choose to celebrate at their half birthday.

•I would like to encourage students to bring in treats such as pencils, erasers, stickers, or some other inexpensive non-food item.

•Donating a favorite book to the class library is a great way to honor your child's birthday. If your child wishes, he/she could read it for the class.

•No food items will be allowed.

•Goodies are also not required, so if you wish not to participate, that is great too!

Why do we have snack??

Our brains need energy to function and food supplies us with that energy. So please send a snack everyday. If you wish to send an additional snack for us to have on-hand for students who forget their snack- please feel free to do so.
Every afternoon, students will be allowed to enjoy a small, healthy snack. Snacks must be peanut and tree nut freeincluding items that are processed with peanuts. I also ask that your child's snack be quick and non-messy. Please send a spoon if your child needs one to eat his/her snack because they will not be provided. Students are in charge of their own snack (no sharing will be allowed). Also, students are only allowed to bring water into the classroom. If your child wishes to have a water bottle at school, please send a leak-proof water bottle. There will be certain times throughout the day that the students will be allowed to drink from their water bottles.
